A sister company of Timorous Beasties [TB], 3cubed has been set up by the ceramicist and glass designer Rosie Simmons.
Rosie Simmons is a ceramicist, free-lance designer and design consultant. RS graduated from Glasgow School of Art and then obtained a MA distinction in Ceramic Design for Industry at Staffordshire University after which she worked for five years as a surface pattern designer for Josiah Wedgwood & Sons.
Now based in London she has been working for seven years as free-lance designer, consultant in trend forecasting, and as a visiting lecturer at Central St Martin's School of Art. Recent clients include many major retailing firms such as Woolworths, Sainsbury's, W.G.S.N., Copes & Trimmins and Royal Copenhagen. Design concepts are developed after comprehensive market research, competitor analysis and trend identification. RS also worked as interior design assistant for Retrouvius.
3cubed has developed through RS’s experience of working for large companies and recognising existing gaps in the market. Current projects include working alongside Timorous Beasties to produce limited editions of bone chinaware styled with their Glasgow and London toile designs. 3cubed are also introducing innovative new lampshades and diffusers plus exclusive designs on bone china tableware and ceramic tiles.
